Phillia, who grew up in Philadelphia, Maryland and Woodstock, NY, graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a degree in Cell Molecular Biology and Genetics. Though she wanted to go to medical school, her inner artist was unleashed and inspired her to start her own clothing line – pHbyphillia.com – which she continues to sell in boutiques Downtown. A resident of Williamsburg where she and her husband own their home, Phillia also lived in the East Village, the market territory in which she specializes. Though her knowledge of and love for all parts of Manhattan draw her to serve customers in every unique neighborhood.
Outside of her work, Phillia is a singer/songwriter and can also be found teaching classes at FIT to aspiring creatives and consulting blossoming professionals on how to develop their own clothing line. Passionate about holistic wellness, health and healing, and the mind-body-spirit connection, she is also pursuing further training to become an energy healer. Phillia is also actively involved in supporting various charities in conjunction with her clothing line, including Girls for Gender Equity, Project ALS, St. Jude Foundation, LiNK and Charity Water.
