Strategic Advisor, Cultural Real Estate

April Johnson advises Tungsten Property clients in the arts and philanthropic sectors on the acquisition, leasing, and development of cultural real estate. She connects artists with studio environments, supports foundations in securing offices, research centres and archive spaces, and guides collectors, galleries, and organisations in reimagining their spaces and art-storage solutions. She also assists with property acquisitions for independent collector foundations and the development of tailored storage infrastructures aligned with long-term stewardship goals across New York City, Los Angeles, London, San Francisco, and Marfa, Texas.

April operates an independent consultancy supporting artist studios and foundations with project management, cultural real estate and building operational strategy for long-term stewardship. Earlier, as Director of Business Development at UOVO, she oversaw strategic planning for more than 2,000 clients including museums, artist studios, artist foundations, collectors, galleries and estates, gaining deep market insight across the arts. She has lived and worked in New York and London, UK.
